Assessment Services: Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)

A Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) is an objective measurement of the essential physical demands associated with a specific job classification. The PDA forms the basis of ANY Injury Management Program. A PDA is a required component of several interventions designed to prevent and manage workplace injuries. A PDA is a required element of the following programs and services:

  • Transitional Work Programs
  • Post Offer Assessments (Pre-employment Screening)
  • Occupational Specific Functional Ability Evaluations

The information obtained from a PDA may be useful to several individuals including but not limited to the following:

  • Employers
  • Occupational Health Nurses
  • Labour Representatives
  • Family Physicians
  • Specialists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Kinesiologists

Our PDA’s quantify the job demands, identify any high risk task(s) and assist in the facilitation of an early and safe return to work plan. By objectively identifying all required physical components involved in the performance of a specific position employers can better manage their business.
