Custom Orthotics and Braces
What is Orthotics?
Orthotic is the medical science that specializes in musculoskeletal assessment and the fabrication of supports and braces for weak and ineffective joints or muscles. Orthotics cover a wide range of products from custom fabricated arch supports (foot orthotics) to custom made braces (orthoses) for the ankle/foot joints, knee joint, back/neck and wrist/hand joints.
Who Will Benefit?
Orthoses are prescribed for both children and adults, for one or more of the following reasons:

What can I expect?
All clients are individually assessed by a Registered Physiotherapist with advance orthotic training. This therapy assessment includes muscle strength and joint range of motion testing, mobility testing and discussion about lifestyle choices and activities of daily living. This information along with the client’s goals and expectations help the Orthotic specialist work with the individual to determine the most suitable orthotic device.
