In most cases you will not be required to have a referral to see our therapists at the clinic. However, some Private insurance providers, OHIP, VA and MVA will require a referral from a doctor and the referral must state the type of service required (Physiotherapy and/or Massage). Contact your private insurance provider if you will require a doctor's referral.

Upon arriving for your first visit, you will be required to fill out a few forms and possibly an outcome measurement. It is important to come 10-15 minutes early to read and fill out these forms. also, be sure to bring comfortable and appropriate clothing for the body part that is to be assessed (T-shirt, tank top, shorts, etc). Once you are in the therapy room, our therapists will conduct a detail assessment, including general information, health info, past medical history, injury history and current injury/condition. The therapist will then perform a hands-on assessment and tests to determine the injury. ***We take careful consideration to ensure you are comforable during your assessment. However, it is common for some people to leave the assessment a little sore afterwards. This is normal because we have placed the injuried limb through tests in order to identify the injury. After the assessment, both the patient and therapist will create a rehabilitation plan to meet your recovery needs and treatment goals. The therapist will then provide you with manual therapy and a home exercise program to help control pain, inflammation, and jump start your road to recovery.

MoveWell Rehabilitation Services is a private Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy provider. Any fees associated with the services provides to you are your responsibility and must be paid for directly by you. This includes all private, OHIP, Veterans and Motor Vehicle Accident patients Cancellation Fee: $25 (less than 24 hours notice). Missed Appointment Fee: $ Total Treatment Fee. in order to book a subsequent appointment at our clinic, all past account arrears must be up to date and paid. This policy is to ensure that our incredible therapists are compensated fairly for their time at MoveWell Rehabilitation Services Please honour your scheduled appointment time if at all possible. In most cases most insurance providers will provide coverage for orthotics or bracing. However, if you are unsure whether your insurance provider will cover orthotics or bracing, it is best to call them to confirm that you have coverage.

Our clinic unfortunately no longer provides direct billing. However, we can submit the claim for insured/planned member on your behalf. Your insurance company will then send you a check in the mail If you wish for us to submit the claim for you, please bring your insurance provider card with you on your visit to the clinic.
